• very poor service and food

  We had the misfortune to eat at La Bella Napoli this weekend. We found the food was alternatively tasteless/inedible/extremely salty and one member of staff incredibly hostile and rude. At the end of the meal we commented on the salad dressing being very salty and perhaps the chef should be made aware of this. The member of staff, who we later found out was actually the manager, verbally assaulted me, shouting that she had asked half way through the meal if everything was ok (she actually asked at the start of the meal so I hadn't even tasted the salad by then but let's not split hairs)!! I assured her I did not want any money off the bill and was simply commenting (the salad was only £3 anyway) but she continued to harangue me aggressively saying we had drunk the wine (what that had to do with the salty salad I've no idea!). My partner then had to collect his jacket from the back of the restaurant and she chased after him and continued to shout and abuse him! By the way, the chef was perfectly reasonable, thanked us for pointing out that his dressing was overly salty and another member of staff apologised. Utterly bizarre behavior. Perhaps she was having a bad day?! An upsetting experience all round.

  One of the best eateries i have found around stoke on trent and prices that are fair too. Good friendly service and they do attempt to keep the smokes and non smokers apartwould be nice to have non smoking all through or just smokers upstairs. Food has been great on the five times weve been so far.
