We engaged the services of McGough & Son for our late father's funeral. It was his wish to be buried with our late mother's ashes. At the burial the unimaginable happened. We trusted McGough's judgement in lowering the casket of ashes into the grave on lengths of floristry ribbon stapled to the underside of the box but the ribbon snapped. The casket fell from a height onto my father's coffin and had to be recovered by a grave digger jumping into the grave and standing on the coffin. Unfortunately we had a number of problems with this company before the day of the funeral including at one point the firm not being sure of where our mother's ashes were, inaccurate information going into a newspaper announcement and being told what they deemed appropriate and inappropriate at the funeral service. We would hate for any family to be suffering the distress and the humiliation we are experiencing and hope this review helps you make an informed choice.
